This challenge is perfectly timed as recent events have again reminded me about priorities.
A close relation has had a severe stroke and is in a coma and not expected to live. She was very interested in family history and has a lot of information she wanted to share with me. I was intending on visiting her later in the year.........
This has made me reflect on my "Bucket List" and of course there are many genealogy items on it.
|The places my ancestors originated from|
2. Visit my living relatives to obtain information, stories and copies of photos. I have already started this, starting from the oldest living family member. It has been some months since my last trip and recent events have made me realise I shouldn't delay and need to have trips scheduled throughout the year ahead.
3. After the first two goals above, start work on my second family tree book.
4. Complete studies in genealogy and obtain a qualification for something that I am passionate about. It is my goal, when I am in a position to retire from my current job, to work or volunteer part time in a genealogical field.
To make dreams come true you need to have a plan. I have started planning!
