      Yes, my Great Grandfather William Adam Bisset Scott was quite a looker, even when he was older.

    1. The first to get all the men correct.

      6/8 is an excellent effort and you were so close. You had 6e. These two are the same person so do look alike! Sorry a little trick that I threw in.

  11. What an original idea and a wonderful set of portraits. It was too difficult for me, though, so I am passing on the matching challenge.

    1. There are four generations of females in there, which means that both my grandmother and great grandmother are pictured on both rows!
      Many people have picked the similarity :)

    1=c
    2=a
    3=d
    4=b

    5=e
    6=f
    7=g
    8=h
    I tried my best.

    2-a
    3-d
    4-b

    5-g
    6-h

    I wonder how many of them are related other than as parent-child? There seemed to be quite a few correlations.

    Thanks!1

    1. We have a WINNER! 8/8 - You are very observant as there are a number of correlations. 6e are both my grandmother and 8g are both her mother (my great grandmother).

      Well Done Pauleen.

      I was going to offer assistance in researching family history to the winner.........but you don't need my help as I think you could held me :)

  18. Somebody once told me that, for men and their sons, look at their EARS! For women and their daughters, its the MOUTH or NOSE!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yes, the ears give away a couple of the fathers and sons above.

      I am not sure that you can guess the mothers and daughters the same way though.

    It's very hard to tell if 5 goes with f or if 7 goes with f. And g could also go with either 5 or 7. I wondered if I should assume that you would put them out of order so that the matches wouldn't be beneath each other or if you might trick us to have them lined up in order! A conundrum ... and as I go back, I'm completely rethinking the women. Maybe I should add my 2nd guesses as a separate list! lol

    1. Lol. Very close Kathy with 6/8. All the men are correct and I also confused you with 6e, as they do look alike as they are the same person, my grandmother. 8h is grandmother and granddaughter so they look alike too.

      Well Done.
