A Genealogy Matching Game - Answers

Thank you everyone who attempted to match the fathers/sons & mothers/daughters in my prior post.

Don't scroll down if you would like to attempt the matching game, instead look here first.

Well done to Pauline at Family History across the seas for correctly matching all parents with their children.

A special mention to Yvonne, Sharon & Kathy also, who were also very close.  I confused them by adding my grandmother (6e) and great grandmother (8g) as both a mother and then again as a daughter.

  1. I knew I should have gone back to do my 2nd guesses for the women! I might have gotten them all right. A fun puzzle to solve.

    1. You were SO close. I confused (tricked) you. You picked 6e and they do look mother and dauther.....as they are the same person!

      Well Done :)

  2. Now you put the photos in the correct places I can see the resemblance. Did you see the photo on Google+ of Aston Rowent Church I posted.

  3. That's the price one pays for showing up late,
and since I have a photographic memory,
seeing the answers only for a second would have been enough
    for me to "cheat"...
    Interesting display!!
Interesting how some are copies of one parent or the other.
I know I have many features from my mother's side.
A stranger [to me] who was a childhood friend of my mother's
recognized me as being a descendant of that family,
even if we weren't in the same city as where they grew up.
    That's uncanny!!
    :)~

    1. Wow that is uncanny. I don't think I look like either of my parents. However my brother and I look alike. Not sure if that is good or bad!

A friend was certain that they saw 'me' when travelling overseas and thought 'I' ignored them..........but is wasn't me! So maybe I have a look alike somewhere?

  6. Hah! That was fun. I thought the women were easy and the men were difficult (so much facial hair it was hard to see details) but in the end I did better with the men than the women!
