    I see he has a walking stick so was he wounded before. A great photo of Harry you have there.

      I suspect the stick is a prop? There is no record of an injury in his defense records.

      I believe that the stamp at the bottom relates to photographer, Colin Campbell, 31 Prince Street, Edinburgh (he operated from 31 Prince street 1917-1919). It seems the photo was taken (and sent home)while he was on leave in August (a month before he was killed).

    Those poor parents. I cannot imagine the depth of their grief.
